SUBJECT: 2008 Tampa Industrial Golf League Jamboree
The 2008 TIGL Jamboree will be held at Champions
Gate on Saturday, Sepember 27th. The cost for golf and banquet is $150.00
for guests, which includes golf and the banquet. If your guest would like to
come for the banquet only the cost will be $40, if you would like to participate
in golf only the cost is $110.00 and if they come to both they too will be entitled
to a shirt iof their choice. If you prepaid the $150 at the beginning of
the season, you owe nothing more.
As the team captain, you are expected
to pass on information concerning the Jamboree to all the members of your team.
This year, we will again be able to accommodate guests for both the golf
outing and the banquet. But the number of spaces available for guests is limited,
and these spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As a result,
if you have guests who wish to participate, it is imperative that you send in
the registration form and payment for your team as soon as possible.
The attached TIGL Jamboree registration form must be filled out correctly, and
it must be legible. Only ONE registration form should be submitted for each team!
Each rostered member from your team can request one individual to play with; that
person does not have to be from the same team. Do not request foursomes. The League
officers will pair each twosome with another twosome based on handicaps. WE WILL
HAVE TWO SHOTGUN STARTS-the morning tee time is 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon tee
time is 1:00 p.m. Indicate on the registration form which starting time each twosome
prefers. The League will try to accommodate these requests, but all requests will
be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A complete list of all starting
tee times will be e-mailed to each team captain or designated representative about
one week before the Jamboree.
Information about the banquet and room
reservations is included on the accompanying information sheet. You should give
a copy of the information sheet to each player on your team.
Send your completed TIGL Jamboree registration

DO
NOT fax your Jamboree registration form. If you have any questions, call 684-1446
and leave a message with your name and a number where you can be reached during
the day and at night. Please indicate what your problem or question is so it can
be directed to the appropriate person.

Gate General Information:
The 2008 TIGL Jamboree will be held at Champions
Gate on Saturday, September 27th. We will be playing the golf courses. The
cost for golf is $110 for guests.
Each rostered player can request one
(and ONLY ONE) individual to play with; that person does not have to be from the
same team.We will have shotgun starts on both courses-the morning tee
time is 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon tee time is 1:00 p.m. If you have a preference
with respect to a starting time, tell your captain to indicate your preference
on the Jamboree registration form. The TIGL Jamboree Committee will try to accommodate
your request, but be aware that requests are handled first-come, first-served;
try to get your team captain to send in the team registration form as soon as
possible.Morning registration will begin at 6am. Afternoon will begin
at 11:30amA limited number of guests can be accommodated.The
Jamboree golf tournament is an individual event based on your league handicap.
Everyone who qualifies will be assigned a flight based on his or her TIGL handicap
so that each individual will compete against golfers with similar handicaps.For
those who wish to stay at the Omni Hotel
, the League has arranged special room rates. Please check out the attached
for making room reservations.
$139.00 per night
All rooms are subject to a $15.00 per room resort fee and taxs. The web site
is Omni Hotel which gives us the information.
Champions Gate
is located just north of Interstate 4, west of Orlando. Two bedroom villa: $320.00
per night plus resort fee and taxes. Three bedroom villa: $400.00 per night
plus resort fee and taxes.
The
banquet will also be at Omni Hotel. Cocktails
will be served from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and dinner will begin at 8:00 p.m.
Seating at the banquet is not reserved. Therefore, if you have a large group that
would like to sit together, make plans to get to the banquet facilities early;
otherwise your party might have to be split up. Dinner will be followed by an
awards presentation consisting of league championship trophies and Jamboree trophies
and awards. Also, prizes and other surprises will be handed out at this time.
